Fibroblast Plasma Lift Therapy

If I hadn't seen it, I probably wouldn't have believed it. I watched skin tightening up in a single treatment. I saw deep pitted scars disappear in one session of about an hour. Fibroblast plasma lift therapy is a new way to take skin lifting, tightening, correcting and smoothing to a completely different level.

How does it work?

First, fibroblasts are highly specialized skin cells that stimulate the formation of collagen, elastin and glucosaminoglycans, which all support the firmness, tightness and proper hydration levels associated with youthful, healthy skin.

Plasma is formed when electrical energy ionizes oxygen and nitrogen, causing an arc. In fibroblast treatments, a small, electrically charged probe is passed directly over the skin. When it is close enough, a tiny electrical arc occurs which vaporizes any liquid in the skin at the point of contact. This arc stimulates the immediate contraction and tightening of skin fibers in a process called sublimation. The micro-injury caused to the skin stimulates the body's natural healing cascade, and guess what the result is? As part of wound healing, new fibroblasts are formed! With each treatment, the results from the previous treatment are built on and accumulate, so you see better and better looking skin.

Is it facelift results?

Not quite, but very significant lifting takes place, and you have a lot less down time, only minor swelling for a day, and almost no pain after the procedure. It feels like a sun burn, just kind of sensitive and slightly irritated. That's all! Even the deeper lines on mature skins can be resolved in about 3 – 4 sessions.

How does it feel?

I'm not going to lie, it does have a bit of a sting to it, which is very momentary, as each arc happens. It's virtually for a fraction of a second, for each small zap. Then the technician moves on to the next spot. The technician does apply a topical numbing agent to the skin prior to the treatment, which makes the client much more comfortable, and can be re-applied throughout the session.

Combined with micro-needling, these two processes are changing the face of skin care in a big way. Fibroblast plasma lifting does the ‘heavy lifting' of structural support to the tissues of our skin, while micro-needling addresses the stimulation of the healing cascade that strengthens the skin, evens out pigmentation, also stimulates collagen and elastin formation. Add in IPL treatments to kill bacteria within the skin and acne doesn't stand a chance!

Along with effective skin care products to detoxify, heal, hydrate and protect the skin, I feel like the sky's the limit! I wish there were options like these when I was a teenager, but I'm so excited about what we can offer in skin solutions now!
